“Lost Dogs” – Introduction

A dog captures the world’s attention by performing a death-defying and heroic act. The incident, caught on surveillance camera, circulates the world via YouTube from Santiago, Chile. When it reaches Oregon filmmaker, Vanessa Schulz, an independent film is born that will expose Chile’s epidemic of homeless dogs. “Lost Dogs” uncovers the secret battle that rages between the dogs’ saviors and their enemies, the battle between compassion and apathy. The path humanity chooses will determine whether the story is one of betrayal or redemption.
