Company for a day

dsc_0139a2 I have a new friend. This adorable pooch took a liking to me and has been following me through the neighborhoods of Santiago. She is so street-savvy I’m taking notes. At first I was nervous to cross busier streets with her in tow, but once I saw her game I was astonished. She runs out into the road as a speeding car approaches, coming within inches of the tires, and chasing it away. The victor, so to speak. As territorial creatures the game makes sense since the cars always “run” away. But miscalculate and the results are deadly. Meanwhile, I’m trying my best to stay unattached.

She walked me all the way home, but the good news is where I found her lives a woman who has two dogs on her side of the fence; the bowls of food and water were on our side.

Glad to see you’re learning the dog-ropes of Santiago. It’s a very different life they lead, both good and bad.
    Good luck on the shooting!

Glad you made it there safely Vanessa!
What your doing is amazing, the dogs sound like they are phenominal creatures. Good luck with not getting attached to any of them. Looking forward to hearing more about it.
