Calling on Chileans to share blankets

As we move into summer in the north, southern continents are going into winter, which in Chile means more suffering for the country’s 2.5 million street dogs. Not only is it cold, it is a wet cold that chills to the bone. In Patagonia dogs often freeze to death.

A Chilean organization called Animalindos is doing a campaign this month to collect blankets, quilts, bedspreads, etc., anything that can help to keep dogs warm and dry. The Animalindos shelter is in the foothills of the Andes, where winter temperatures are often down to -2°C. Many strays live in makeshift houses in garbage dumps, construction sites, vacant lots, under bridges…

Please donate if you can, and spread the word to others with a compassionate heart.

The contact at Animalindos is Carolina Kottmann

muchas gracias.
atentamente
